Hello, gentle raccoon friends, and friends of not so gentle raccoons!
I’m so excited—the dice have arrived from Q Workshop! A month and a half earlier than I expected. And they look great!
I expect to get the zines next week, and the cards later this month. Then, probably early November, my friends and I will have a massive boxing session where we pack things up for you.
For people who backed the print or original drawing, I've done the math, and it looks like I can send those separately. This will get the game to you sooner, with the prints or drawings following on by the end of the year.
There are still a handful of you who have not finished their surveys! You have until October 16 to fill it out. I'll also reach out to you by email.

Hello raccoons and raccoon lovers!
It's been a busy August. I've been making drawings for backers and telling the world about Raccoon Sky Pirates. I've had two great conversations on podcasts, one with Amber on Table Top Babble and another with Jeremy Gage on Draw Your Dice (which will be on his Patreon soon and out to the public later in the fall). I'm looking for more podcasts to be on—what are your favorite gaming podcasts?
Have you played it yet? Before I get the zine printed, I would love to get your feedback! Were the rules clearly written? Was the game fun when you played it? In what ways? Did you play as any of the alternate trash animals? Was the chaos everything you hoped for? Did your ship blow up? Please tell me all about it at [email protected]!

The PDF of the zine is now available as a download!
The download is on BackerKit and is available to all backers who backed at least at the digital level, which is almost everybody. I've created a separate download for the same backers that is all the printable play sheets.
I was going to distribute through Itch, but doing it through BackerKit makes the process less error-prone (at least for me) and lets me address any potential issues more directly.
I'm super excited to share with you all the work I've been doing for lo, these many months. 56 pages, 20 illustrations, 18 character sheets. I hope you enjoy it! I'd love to hear how it plays for you.
There's miles still to go: As I mentioned earlier, the printed zine and other physical rewards won't be shipped until December. I can't wait to get that stuff into your hands!
Last Week to Update Your Order!

Welcome to August, everyone!
I'm putting the finishing touches on the PDF zine. As a result, the last day to update your order in BackerKit will be this coming Sunday, August 8th. On Monday the 9th, I will lock your reward selections and charge cards for all your add-on item purchases, pledge upgrades and pre-orders. Then on Sunday, August 15th, I'll post the PDF to Itch.io. All backers who pledged at least at the PDF level will get a code to download the game, and everyone else will be able to buy it.
As a reminder, the physical rewards won't be ready until about December. You'll be able to update your shipping address long after August 8th, right up until we lock addresses for shipping. I'll let you know when that date is coming.
A few of you haven't answered your BackerKit survey yet. If that's you, please go to https://raccoon-sky-pirates.backerkit.com/ and enter your email in the "Lost your survey?" input box. Please especially do this if you want to be credited as a backer in the back of the zine.
